  2. so an update I just couldn't get Dino tired enough and we started Crating him again. The first week or so was hard for Dino but he got back into the routine. We have screwed that all up and have been home all week, I have been crating him for a few hours every day,and he is fine with that as long as he can see me or I am not home. Its diffrent with my Wife and that is good as she will be home for 7 more weeks.
  3. Dino isn't crated at night but that didn't happen over night pun intended. We first got Dino he sleep in his crate at night down stares that lasted for a week or two. then the crying /complaining, my wife and I thought wait it out, after two night of no sleep at all we gave in it was a big deal he Dino had nto not figure out stares yet and he is XL racing at 85 lbs. We had purchased a fordable soft crate, put it in the corner with a bed in it brought him up told him to crate up and zipped him in. Within two night happy Dino roaching in his crate. Fast forward a few months, door open Dino waits for us to wake up in the morning. A few more months soft crate is down just a bed in the corner of our bedroom. Dino loves his people and has never left the room at night. We were real motivated to get him going up and down stars in a hurry Ryan
  4. sorry for the off topic are Kiowa's stocky My Dino (Mani Mongone) is well extra large and he is a son of Kiowa Sweet Trey. Dino raced at ~80lbs and he is well much softer now and it happened fast, but he is stable now
  5. Well a little update: I moved Dino's Bed (yes many of them) He just lays in the spots were the beds were. Another chewing again while my wife was home but in another room. So I don't think its a crate him when we are not here. I am hoping I can tire him out, guess we are going for a run in the rain, as its arc building weather here in the Mid Atlantic. I trip to two pet supply stores Dino has some new toys with different textures to keep his mouth interested. Bitter apple spray on all of those tasty window sills. We are tying an antler he like it a lot, so i let him have it until a hint of red from his gums then it was time for a break. I think we will try some time with the antler every few days Thanks Ryan E I will keep an eye out for some alum
  6. So Dino has developed a chewing problem, he has only done it twice, but he has decided that he likes to chew on out window sills. He has no shortage of rope chew toys one next te each bed after he. The first time Dino chewed was about a week ago, during the day when he was home alone. He chewed on the window sill next to his bed in the bedroom. The second time My wife Niki was home and Dino was laying in the front room after his dinner and he chewed on the window sill in the front room. A little background, we have had Dino for a little more then 8 months, and about a month ago he has been out of his crate all day. He made it clear to me Any thoughts on how to get him to stop chewing? I don't want to have to crate him or muzzle him all day. Thank, Ryan E
  7. Dino Gets four pumps of salmon, or pollock oil in his food twice a day. it helped his dandruff and his coat is softer. R-
