  1. Enza has shockingly good teeth - to the point my vet has said she probably won't need a cleaning for at least a year or two. I do give her CET chews, which she loves, and I keep trying to brush her teeth so as to keep her teeth up. Note the word "trying". She won't let me brush her teeth - she either walks away or clamps down on the toothbrush. I've also tried the brush that goes on your finger and owie. I think she considers it a game. I've tried it standing, I've tried it after long walks, I've tried it laying it down, with a fox, in a box, etc and so on... The last time I tried, it ended up looking this: Any secrets would be great.
  2. Congrats! I grew up outside of Rutland and went to Groovey Uveey so I love that area so very much.
  3. Well, when he first got sick he had been on Natural Balance Fish and Sweet Potato LID (grain free). Then I tried Venision and Sweet Potato LID and he got sick again. This time it was with Lamb and Rice LID (thinking it might be the potato). I always get him to the halfway point and after he's been there for awhile he'll start bleeding again I admit I know little about this - and I would agree that a LID for IBD makes sense. But I wonder if it's the brand? I know Natural Balance is a great food, but maybe something else in it is also affecting him. So maybe once Soul is feeling better, a different brand to switch him too that has few ingredients?
  4. Enza isn't allowed on the bed when I'm in it - and she's never tried it. As for the sofa - she loves it in Winter and when it's cooler in the fall/spring. In the summer, she has no desire to get up on the sofa with me. However, she's had her privileges revoked for a bit when she stood over my friend who was sitting on the sofa and sitting in Enza's "spot". And god forbid anyone try to take a nap in the house when it's cold out - Enza will snuggle up next to you no matter who you are. I should note it took me 6 months before I was comfortable allowing her.
  5. I am so sorry - I can't even imagine.
  6. I also try to distinguish between Enza throwing up (ie -heaving then vomiting) or her just opening her mouth and stuff just comes out. If it's the latter, I don't worry about. Usually it's because she's car sick, drank too much water at once, drank too much water then decided the stuffies needed to DIE and DIE NOW, etc and so on.
