She was a beautiful girl, so sorry for your loss.
  3. Think of all the wisdom the greyhound community has lost with the passing of your lovely old gal. She looks like she had seen it all and done more than most. They are never with us long enough. Sorry for your loss, she looks like she wore her crown well. Godspeed Allie!
  4. So sorry about Cosmo. May she find great joy with all those that have gone before her.
  5. I hate cancer. So sorry for your loss.
  6. Cherry, it was 1 year ago today that we let you free from the pain of Osteo. I hope all is going well for you at the bridge and that you have made many new friends. We miss you more than we would have ever throught possible. The nearly 12 years of your life you blessed us with will never be forgotten. The space you left in our hearts and home will never be filled. Until we meet again my princess.
  7. Tarmac was lucky to have had you and you were lucky to share his time here with him. God Speed Tarmac!
  8. Sorry to hear about Rocky's diagnosis but look forward to hearing the responses to your request.
  9. I can't imagine such a sudden loss. What a wonderful tribute for a greyt pup with a neat name. Rest well beautiful angel!
  10. This site rocks. Thanks everyone for your kind words. I know I can come here when I need to share with people that understand. Thanks again! It is getting easier but I will always miss her and sometimes just need to talk (type) about her.
  11. Cherry, sorry this is late but we were on vacation and didn't have internet access, I know you know we were thinking about you. We were so happy when you beat the odds and made it to your 14th birthday in pretty good shape for a princess of your years. All the walks, good food, and the low stress life style were definately working for us through the first 14 years. We had great hopes of going for the record, but that was not to be. I am finally to the point where I can talk about you and think of you without breaking down, but only if I put effort into it. We had almost 12 years of good memories and that is what I want to remember and it is getting easier. But if I am not careful and on guard, the memory of the last few weeks starts to come through. The limping started to come and go shortly after your birthday. At first we found nothing and the x-rays were clear, but that changed eventually, and all we could do is make you comfortable in your last days. When the drugs wouldn't work any longer, we had to let you go. I don't think the 1st of October will ever be a good day for me again. I miss my walking partner, I miss my cuddle partner for watching TV, I miss my sweet, calm, and faithful best friend. So, until we meet again, find all the good friends that others have lost with you up at the bridge and have a nice party while waiting for us. I look forward to being with you again. Happy 15th Birthday Baby! Cherry, aka Cherry Picken 8-18-94 to 10-1-08 Simply the best!
  12. A beautiful tribute to a great family member. Godspeed LeeLee!
  13. I am so sorry for your loss. I lived in Chelmsford and walked a brindle girl named Cherry around Chelmsford High School until last September. I lost Cherry on 1 October and do so know how you feel. I am sure he was very special as they are all special in their own way. I now live in Westford, am houndless, and hope to meet you sometime under better circumstances. Again, so very sorry for your loss.
  14. I can't even imagine something like this, our thoughts are with you. Sorry for your loss.
  15. That video was beautiful. It made me think that we are the lucky ones who have had a relationship this special with our lovely hounds. Alan, Cherry, and many others are watching down from heaven.
  16. Wonderful video, she looks so happy. Sorry for your loss.
  17. I too unfortunately know how you feel. You can know in your mind and your heart that it is the right thing to do, but that doesn't make it any easier. Best of luck in your decision and enjoy the time you have left. You are in my thoughts.
  18. I'm so sorry! Thinking of Misty and her humans during this difficult time.
  19. Our thoughts are with you during the terrible time. Sorry seems so inadequate. Godspeed Roo!
  20. Live in the moments you have with him and enjoy him. Don't second guess your decision since they will not do you or him any good. Sorry you are having to go through this. Cancer stinks!
  21. Sorry seems so inadequate. You wrote a beautiful tribute to a wonderful soul. Been there and hope peace comes to you in this situation soon. I lost Cherry in October, its getting better but I am still searching for answers. Godspeed Alan!
  22. Oh no! I have had a soft spot for JoJo, my wife's name. I am so sorry for your loss.
  23. I really appreciate everyone's kind words and suggestions. I am sure there is a solution to this situation where everyone can stay happy. I really need to get out and touch base with some of the rescue folks in the area to see what is possible. I have to believe that once my wife meets another special dog, she will change her tune. Thanks again. Scott
