This is weird. I was petting Franny and noticed that her nose by her upper lip is starting to turn pink. Is that normal or is there something more going on? Could it be an age thing? She will be 11 on Feb 28.

Is Coconut Oil safe for the dogs? I'd like to add it to their food if it is.

How about the hook? I hope you found that. If not, I would do the x-rays before feeding anything at all. Poor puppy.
We found the hook and the top that the hook attaches to, so that is good. I only found tiny pieces of the ornament itself. I'm pretty sure he ate the rest.
I gave him some bread, and I'll give him some more before bed.
I think the usual advice in this case is to feed bread to help protect against the sharp edges.
Meanwhile, keep hunting for more pieces and see how much you can find. Try to get an estimate of how much was eaten.
But feed bread...

He's a 9 mo old lab/hound mix. He's not tiny little thing anymore.

I think our puppy ate an ornament. It was one of our plastic ornaments. I found pieces, but I can't find anything else. What should I do?

I'm going to start feeding her more. I think I'll start adding other things to her meals too.

She will be 11 in February. I know they lose muscle mass, but she seems to have a lost a lot in the last couple of months. She's feeling very boney.

Franny is starting to lose a lot of weight. She's eating and she's active, well as active as a greyhound is. She loves her walks, but her ribs and her hip bones are really sticking out. I'm taking her into the vet this weekend for a weight check to see how much she has lost since her dental this spring.

He only has it on one leg. I thought that was weird.
He was listed as a hound/lab mix. How general, hey. We think he is more terrier/beagle like than a lab.

We just adopted a puppy, mixed breed, from the humane society about a month ago. He has a dew claw on his rear leg. Has anyone ever seen anything like that? The vet suggests we get it removed.

Franny is also 10 and she just started with rear leg shaking in the past few months. I assume it's because of her age. It seems to happen more when she is not on carpet. Usually on hard floors or outside.

She can also try Kuenzi Vet. They are in Waukesha. That's who I used for years. She should see Dr Mike. He is very knowledgable about greyhounds.

Our puppy ate some kind of animal poop one afternoon and I didn't know it. Later that day he threw it up. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever had to deal with since I have had dogs.
