I have seen many a Maryville Rumble* pup race. Rest in peace.

sorry, i'm a day late with this.
-
thoughts are with you, of course.
-
I feed the sardines in olive oil, cause we split them and that's the kind I like...
-
So sorry for your loss.
My preadopted girl is Pansy Jane, who is the product of Oats Alimony, so she's part of the family.

In the winter. Sometimes.
Why aren't we all living there again?

It doesn't get to 17 (somewhere around -6 C) in Melbourne very often.
-
We just took in one of your boys, Ripley. We'll take good care of him...

Zuni had a preference for females when she first came home. But after ~4 years with me, my male roommates, and my mostly male friends she seems to no longer have a preference. A tangent point, she loves anyone with facial hair, I think because her foster papa had a beard.

Zuni thinks water is acid, so I don't think she's enjoying swimming.

Dynamite was the most extreme foster i've had. He woke me up at 6am the first day. 5 am the next. He skipped 4 and went straight to 3. Then something clicked and he slept through the night after that.
With Zuni, who wasn't particularly bad at night, I let her out of the crate at night after 6 or 8 weeks. She spent the first night upstairs on a pile of dirty clothes next my bed. The next night she was back downstairs sleeping on a bed by her crate. Go figure.

Is there any hardware in there--screws and plates?
It doesn't happen very often, but they can work themselves out of position over time. We've had it happen a couple of times, poor Arcee had a ten screw plate in her hock (it was taken out when it started bothering her again and helped her immensely). Otherwise they may walk a little funny when they first get up (my foster Wendy did this) and then be pretty much ok.

Are you sure? Most folks I know from New Jersey consider NJ-NY-CT as the Tri-State area...
I, personally, grew up in the PA-MD-WV Tri-State area.
See what I mean, it's not a very good term.
-
Which tri-state area? I think anywhere three states come together is the 'tri-state' area.

Zuni prefers to not walk on grass at all times. She particularly avoids it when it's wet. She's very cat-like in her aversion to getting wet.

Sounds like some other Trent Lee pups we know. They are all black, though. And they sent two down to Orlando and they figured the racing thing out....
-
I noticed something about Trent Lee, he produces only black and blue pups.
Here is his top blue offspring http://greyhound-data.com/d?i=1634583--the little girl is a stakes racer at OP.

From a neutral perspective, it seems to come in waves.

I have to say, it depends on the dog and it depends on the park. Most folks that are successful go early in the morning or at an off-peak time. I know the park near me the dogs are more pampered than human children so everyone is attentive and there has never been a problem. But maybe some parks out of the city are a little more 'anything goes.'
If you dog has any sort of issue with smaller dogs and they don't segregate large and small dogs, it wouldn't be a good idea.

The original map has a pin for Albuquerque and then Dallas. They must be planning a petrified forest stop or are cruising original Route 66, cause it's only about 250 miles from Flagstaff to Alb...
-
Gas is expensive in Flagstaff. I filled up expecting to be gouged once I was down in the canyon in Sedona, but it was cheaper down there. Go figure...
Any plans to 'Stand on a Corner in Winslow, Arizona?'

Whoa, old thread. I thought for second someone got promoted to moderator.
Nope, just someone that isn't on much anymore, I guess.
-
If you think he's associating it with you leaving, have him spend some time in there while you're around.
