Guest buttonwillow
I asked for Blue Buffalo at Pet Food Express the other day, since it wasn't on the shelves. The store told me that there was a recall of Blue Buffalo dog food last year for high levels of Vitamin D, and afterwards, Pet Food Express requested that Blue Buffalo provide results from their testing proving the food was safe again. Apparently they do this after any recall, but Blue Buffalo refused and told them to take it off their shelves if they weren't happy. So they did. Sigh... http://www.truthaboutpetfood.com/articles/blue-refuses-to-talk.html http://www.petsitusa.com/blog/?p=3677

Maddiesmom
I am surprised that Blue will not release the results. I know the family that owns the company as I went to high school with both their 2 boys. Blue is headquartered in my hometown of Wilton, CT. Guest formercatlady
I just started transitioning my two to Blue Buffalo, thinking I had done enough research. Then today, I saw the info about the recall on a pet food website. Dang it Moving on to Orijen I think...
