kudzu
No one I personally know switched to Promeris but thought it possible a few GTers had. If so, they may be interested in this story. Some cases of pemphigus foliaceus were found by NCSU vet school researchers to be linked to Promeris for Dogs. This is a rare side effect of this topical I rarely hear of anyone using but thought it worth sharing. Here is the story: http://www.veterinarypracticenews.com/vet-breaking-news/2011/04/18/study-links-promeris-to-pemphigus-foliaceus-pfizer-stopping-its-production.aspx Promeris got some bad press soon after people started using it. However the stories I heard seemed related to already known side effects of the chemical component which targets ticks. Though I heard of a few reports of skin lesions those were no more often nor sounded more severe than I had heard for the various Frontline or Advantage products. This study relates to something very different. Production of this product will reportedly be discontinued & its retail sale in USA will continue only as long as current supplies last.
