NeylasMom
Well I was waiting for my vet to call me back a second time with culture results before posting, but she never did. I'll call in the morning. In the meantime, blood work and the u/a did come back and both her creatinine and BUN are elevated enough to believe the pamidronate did cause kidney damage. I am still hoping we also have an infection that is causing this level of drinking/peeing but at this point, it seems unlikely. The swelling at least was gone this morning, so that's good. I'm sorry you didn't get better news for Neyla. But I'm glad the swelling has gone down. Maybe that's a sign that her kidneys are at least coping. The blood work was done on a draw from last week, right? Maybe the kidneys started recovering over the weekend. Fingers crossed for better news from the vet... duncan41
Just seeing this. I am sorry the test results weren't better or at least the same. As long as the kidney values are just a little elevated, hopefully they will stabilize and won't cause any future issues. Sending prayers that there are no more bumps in the road! :grouphug Quote Linda, Mom to Fuzz, Barkley, and the felines Miss Kitty, Simon and Joseph.Waiting at The Bridge: Alex, Josh, Harley, Nikki, Beemer, Anna, Frank, Rachel, my heart & soul, Suze and the best boy ever, Dalton.<p> ....for all those hounds that are sick, hurt, lost or waiting for their forever homes.
