Guest ScottH
Here is another update: This is exactly 14 days after it happened. I think it looks very good. I suspect in another week it will just be a small scab.

Guest MyBoys
Try putting on some EMT gel if you have it. The stuff is amazing! Daisy got a similar cut on her side and I put some EMT gel on it after I thoroughly cleaned . It healed very, very quickly. That stuff really works. I have use the EMT gel and spray and agree it is a GREAT product and seems to heal the wounds very fast without the wound needing to be covered. JohnF
That looks like it's healing well. If you have an Aloe Vera plant, cut off part of a leaf and squeeze some of the clear sap onto the wound. It makes an excellent breathable 'band-aid' and speeds recovery.

Guest ScottH
It is one month later and is just a small pink scar that is continuing to get smaller! I think it will end up being a very small scar. Thanks to everyone for all the helpful advice! That saved us a trip to the vets and him getting stitches he did not really need.
