Guest DianaJH
I have a 13 year old male greyhound. He is in great health, thank God, but he is looking thin the past few months. He eats about the same as always, but is beginning to look "boney". He weighs about 72 pretty consistently, but is still looking more feeble and skinny. I feed him Eukanuba for large breeds. (he's eaten this for the past 9 years that we've had him). He also gets glucosamine supplement every day (has for the past 6 years). Is there any kind of supplement I should be giving him to help his weight stay on and help his strength? Thanks for your expert advice! Burpdog
I add boiled meat to a lot of my senior's food. How was his last blood panel? I can tell you what my guys get: Joint Health & Fresh Factors (Springtime Inc.) Vit E 400 IU Fish Oil caps - 4 a day I would do a thyroid test on him. Most will do a full panel. DonnaBehr
I too have a 13-year old who is becoming very boney dispite eating well. He gets a vitamin, fish oil, glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, Prozyme and Psyllium Husk and he just will not gain any weight at this point. As long as he's healthy, I wouldn't worry about it.
