Guest RICHandJUDE Posted June 25, 2009 Share Posted June 25, 2009 My greyhound has been limping for about a month or a little more. We have x-rayed the leg and shoulder"two different times. Our vet says it isn't Osteo. He diagnosed it as "Bicipital Tenosynovitis " I looked at his medical book and it sure does look like Bicipital. From the picture of the x-rays, to the symptoms. We do have an appointment with a specialist on July 14. Medication only works a little less than 50%. Surgery is usually needed. HAS ANYBODY EVER HEARD OF THIS CONDITION? Guest GentleHugs Posted June 25, 2009 Share Posted June 25, 2009 You can always contact Dr. Couto with Ohio State University's Greyhound Health and Wellness program since you live in Ohio. He's very good about reviewing exrays and consulting with your own vet - even when it's not osteo. I don't recall his contact info right off the top of my head but I'm sure someone else has it handy and can post it. In the meantime, I'll put your baby on my prayer list. We have had the pads checked more than once. The vet says it is Bicipital Tenosynovitas. We do have an appointment with some specialists trained under Dr. Couto. Today I got a call from the specialist. He has a cancellation, so our appointment has been moved up from 7/14 to 6/30. I will tke all the x-rays with me.
