mom2four Posted May 17, 2009 Share Posted May 17, 2009 After sending the FNA to OSU, and getting a report back that is was not a good sample (our vet had warned us of that, she said the bone was too hard), we were referred to an oncologist here, at the specialist animal hospital. We had an appointment for coming Tuesday. But....There's been a change.....We have CANCELLED Jamey's appointment for Tuesday. We found out yesterday from the guy that we adopted Diego from (Mark) that the specialist place we were going to go to has done a Greyhound amputation in the past, given the Grey morphine for the pain, and the Greyhound died 2 hours later. These people were told, but would not listen to Greyhound experts about morphine. So Mark is going to contact a couple of vets that have done amputations on greyhounds for him in the past to see if they could help. We need to call Mark tonight. Stay tuned.....
