Guest rogueslg71
first thank you all for the help thats been given lately! i am still working on and learning a lot of things on how to take care of my 'baby'. she has been very 'scratchy' lately at her nose/mouth and it sounds terrible because her nails are running against her teeth. i looked today and saw a white bump on the gum area on top of her upper teeth on the side. do dogs get cold sores or something similiar that might make her scratch her mouth so badly? sometimes she also hits her eye too which worries me because it seems like she is scratching right along her eye sometimes. shes also accidently cut her ear a little too while scratching. GeorgeofNE
Sounds like possibly allergies. It's probably her face that itches, and that needlenose is so narrow she's bashing herself in the mouth trying to itch. I'd take her to the vet for a quick check to make sure it's nothing else (mites, fleas, ear problem) and then talk to the vet about the possiblity of allergies and what you can do to start tracking down the cause.
