Buddy's Eye

Buddy's corneal ulcer is apparently getting better, according to the ophthamologist. To me it still looks really strange.

I took a picture of it yesterday and hopefully you can see the detail.

 

It looks like a reflection, but it isn't. The ulcer was in the lower part of his eye, and this shows (hopefully) a large white area, with a red area in the center.

 

Please tell me this is normal.

If your vet says it is, perhaps you should take his/her word for it?

 

I certainly hope he continues to recover.

If the eye doc said it's getting better, I'd believe them. I'm glad he's on the mend!

Looks normal to me. Injuries heal in odd or strange ways sometimes.

Think about a bruise on yourself and how sometimes it looks at it's worst just as it's getting better

 

Also if the vet is saying it's getting better I'm sure it is

Thanks, Heather, for the reassurance. Buddy does go back on Monday to get it checked. It is just healing a lot differently than it did when he had the same thing five years ago....and I am a worried mom.

Sending prayers all is ok when you go back to the doc. These things seem to take forever to heal.
