Guest greytgrandma
My sweet quarter horse Misty left me the day after 9/11. it may be silly of me but I believe the people that died on 9/11 needed my Misty more than I did.Im sure she went away to nuzzle and comfort all those people. Sometimes it seems so long ago and other times it seems like just yesterday. A friend of mine printed a pic of me and Misty coming to the top of a hill down in Emenence MO on a trail ride and over top of the pic she had this printed: when I wanted to climb rough and rocky hills, you took me there. when I wanted to go over an obstacle, you took me there. when I wanted to walk through shady green forests, you took me there. when I wanted to ride like the wind, you took me there. when I wanted to see where the trail led, you took me there. when I wanted to forget my troubles, you took me there. no other horse can compare to you, the one who took me there. in memory of Misty a great horse I now have a wonderful gaited horse, and Im sure Misty sent him to me.He takes care of me just like she did. Guest Pipi5
I think you're absolutely right. People who are distressed find comfort in the warmth & love transmitted from animals...She knew her journey with you was finished & she had others she needed to go help. Guest greydogluvr
I am so sorry. I lost my first pony, who I had until he was 32, over 10 years ago. The pain has lessened over time but has never gone away. There is nothing like a great horse. He is now serving a greater purpose. Big hugs and peace to you.
