Guest dmona
Kelsey's tumor was diagnosed as Grade 2. The vet contacted our group coordinator so I didn't talk to him directly. I asked her if there was anything we needed to do and she said no but not really any other explanation. Since her tail was amputated, do you think that means they got it all? Thanks for all your previous responses and your concern. Kelsey will get her stitches out next week and seems to be doing fine. With her little nub of a tail she really does look like the little deer who comes in our yard. Dianne I just looked up the Grade 2 and it says it is moderately malignant behavior - recurrence rate is about 20% with aggressive surgery. Wouldn't the amputation of her tail be considered aggressive? Edited July 22, 2008 by dmona

sweetdogs
I would think that they were agressive in taking as much of her tail as necessary & that once it heals, she should be fine. Glad to hear she's doing well. Quote Deirdre with Conor (Daring Pocobueno), Keeva (Kiowa Mimi Mona), & kittehs Gemma & robthomas. Our beloved angels Faolin & Liath, & kittehs Mona & Caesar. Guest Lori
I think that's pretty aggressive. If they got clean margins, they got it all. My little JRT has had 2 grade 2 tumors and one grade 1 tumor removed over the past 4-5 years and is doing just fine. I give her the once over every couple of weeks and check out any new lumps or bumps.
