tbhounds Posted July 4, 2008 Share Posted July 4, 2008 Could be a hot spot starting to form but, it actually looks like we've been licking. That is the perfect spot for an allergy dog to lick. You can clean the area with diluted Nolvasan and then apply a cortisone cream like Animax (or Panalog)--you might have to put a t-shirt on her for awhile to deter the licking. If it truly is an allergy making her lick you can also give her Chlortrimaton (chlorpheniramine)--IMHO it works way better than Benadryl for skin itches.
