Little Princess, who suffered from congenital blindness, was found in the middle of a busy street and turned in to the animal shelter where I volunteer and am on the Board. A wonderful and kind woman, who had just lost another adopted dog, fell in love with Princess and adopted her. She loved that dog and did everything medically that she could for her. This morning Kathy had an MRI done on Princess because of weakness in her rear legs. Princess had had a hernia repaired and her teeth cleaned several months ago without any ill effects. Princess never woke up from the anesthesia after the MRI. The vet administering the MRI was devasted. He transported Princess's little body back to Kathy's house for her - a distance of about 25 miles. Kathy and Princess were together only five months. I am so sad for Kathy.
