Guest greytpets
I work at a vet hospital (in Australia) and we never sedate greyhound blood donors, they simply dont need it they'll all lay there quite happily while being patted. Perhaps you should ask whether they'll try it without sedation?
Guest DundeeToddsMom
My two grey's have been blood donors here in MI and they do not sedate them. We are allow to be back in room during the whole procedure. It's a large room - big enough for the two vet techs, me and DH and my two greys. I'd be concerned about sedating . krissn333
My friend takes her two to our E-vet regularly to donate blood and they are sedated...but it's mild and they're alert the whole time...it's just to help them relax a little. None of my kids were the right type to donate...
