onrushpam Posted July 26, 2007 Share Posted July 26, 2007 We removed the dewclaws on the Amy puppies... (Well, the vet did... LynnM and I TRIED to do it, but quickly decided we couldn't do it). I'm sorry we did it. I've since become convinced the dogs actually DO use them... Maybe not so much on the track, but certainly when running in the field. Yes, they are a pain to trim and sometimes do cause injuries in lure coursing. But, if I ever have baby puppies again, they'll keep their dewclaws.
