Guest larkabee
Beau didn't eat this morning, and then, when I took him out this afternoon, he had a BM that started as a stream of liquid and evolved into squishy poops with liquid/gel-y, purplish streaks and spots in them. Was that blood? What might this be? I figured I would wait and see how he is later tonight and tomorrow morning before calling the vet, but wasn't sure whether I should withhold food tonight. Any help appreciated!
DustysMom
Dusty had a similar incident last month. Gel-like with purplish overall color and "clots". The vet put him on Albon (I believe it's an antibiotic) and it cleared up the next day. Seemed to be some kind of GI irritation.
Guest meandmygreys
I'm not sure of the contents of the poop But I do know that Albon is usually administered for cocsidia (sp?) might just be some thing he ate...
