Guest JetAndFamily
It appears that we are on the verge of arthroscopic surgery to repair a biceps tendon. This is about $1000 into diagnostic procedures (x rays, joint tap, ultrasound). I am taking Jet to an orthopedic specialist at Angell Memorial in Boston. He will give me a final opinion on Monday after consulting with the radiologist but I think the surgery is where we are headed. Has anyone gone through this particular procedure? Was it successful (vet seems quite confident)? What was recovery like? Of course, the cost has got me down but she is only 3 and cannot run and walks with a limp. I don't see that I have any choice but to do whatever I can. Thanks for any information.
Finnsliz
I have no experience but am hoping for an easy time of it for poor little Jet. Good luck Susan. Hi Jet and family, You are now 5 months further and I would like to know what happened because I'm also on this never ending road of vet bills and limps and xrays and now 2 of the 4 vet that have examined Tashi hav come to the conclusion that it is the biceps tendon and we're first going to inject depomedrol into the site and then possibly do a tenotomy. I'm scared and keep hoping he will just heal but it's been over a year and he still limps on hard surfaces. We have already spent $1500 dollars so far and we haven't started treatment yet. I'd love to hear a success story from you! Many thanks
