  1. Tried the coconut oil and it’s worked a treat so far 👍👍
  2. We’re having the same problem, we have a 22 month old black greyhound which we’ve had for two months. She wasn’t in the best condition when we had her coat wise, thick kennel coat. With daily brushing her coat looks nice and gleaming but the dandruff seems to be getting worse. Food wise we’ve got her on Arden & Grange Salmon and Rice morning and night, she has a small bowl of oats most mornings and daily mackerel or Sardines so from what I’ve read this should have addressed the issue but the dandruff seems worse than ever and she seems to be shedding more fur than normal. We’ve taken her for a check up this morning and the vet has prescribed nutra mega capsules 3 times a day and we’ve purchased an anti dandruff shampoo, also thinking that her bed is to close to a radiator drying her skin??
  3. Our greyhound does it to some extent, she repeatedly turns around, I’ve put it down to nerves, she does it more so if people are behind her, mainly males. I’ve started to carry her treats with me and when she turns I offer her a treat and this completely takes her mind of it, worked so far.
  4. Hi we’re in the same boat, we had her 2 weeks ago. Our girl is 18 months of age and again she’s quite nervous, as the poster says treats have done the trick for us and we’ve let her explore her new home at her leisure. I’ve come to realise that that she’s seeing things for the first time and it must be terrifying for her but it’s rewarding watching her bemused at certain things. She walks fine with both me and my daughter and getting use to cars but hates people walking behind her, hopefully in time you’ll be fine but be patient
  5. Hi we recently adopted our first grey two weeks ago and we absolutely adore her, albeit a little shy at first she’s now fully up to speed with some hilarious behavior. We’ve always had larger breeds of dogs and fed them on Royal Canin without any problems whatsoever. Our greyhound is 18 months of age and she’s around 20 kilograms and we’re told she’s never raced. Not knowing what her previous diet consisted of and after a little research we’ve opted for Arden Grange Salmon & Rice as there’s some really positive reviews for the product and so far so good, no upset stomach and her coats coming up really well, we add a small amount of oats to her morning meal also. Quantity wise she’s having around 290 grams per day (2 cups full) as per the RDA from Arden Grange but seemingly has lost a little weight. Having googled advice there’s suggestions that we should be adding human grade meat to her meals but we’ve never done this with our previous dogs and they were very well looked after on the dry food options only.
