Jitters passed away peacefully last night. The last thing she did was eat a cookie out of my hand while her Auntie Liz scritched her ears.

I found out yesterday that my girl Jitters has Osteo in her right front leg.

She turned 12 today, and has been starting to suffer from arthritis for about six months now.

 

I am at peace with what is going to happen, but it doesn't make it any easier.

 

I plan to stuff her with as many cookies as she will eat and spoil her rotten...

 

It makes you realize that you need to savor life and appreciate what you have.

Jitters used to dislocate her toe a lot - she would trot up to me with her paw in the air and I'd pop her toe back in.

Other than giving me the heebie jeebies, it hasn't been a problem.
