    Just checking in to see how Merlin and his humans are doing. Have any of you gotten any rest.

     

    I think all the advice you've gotten is very good. I would just add that most homeowner's policies cover dog bites. It might be worth asking the woman if she has coverage, as long as she is paying the premiums it would at least be worth a call for her to check on her policy. Unless she has had several similar claims, her annual cost shouldn't go up based on one claim.

     

    Please keep us posted on how Merlin is doing.

    No More Chemo For Hershey - Update July 19th

    Right now I feel like the worst mom EVER. I can't get past the idea that by withholding his chemo, I am killing him. There's just no other way I can look at it. I can continue to give him treatments to fight this awful thing, but will not. But I just don't have the heart to put him through these side effects any more. The first month of chemo he did so well with no side effects, so I pursued this. Now he can't handle the same drugs he used to be able to. And I can't knowingly give him something I know for a fact will make him sick.

     

    Sending many, many prayers for you and Hershey. You are NOT the worst mom ever. You are doing what is best for Hershey, step by step, moment by moment. He will let you know what he needs.
