What type of peroxide should one purchase? Food grade or ...?

Just seeing this Claudia. So relieved everything is fine. Bravo everyone.
Apparently Ekko has concealed her sensitive side – most likely to help Wayne feel braver! Claudia, I think you have been unduly hard on Miss Ekko. She has masked her true self for the benefit of others: Truly the act of an unselfish being. You should hang your head in shame (perhaps after you rehang your pictures higher on the wall and re-lock all the cabinets)!
I suspect, as mere humans, no matter how much be believe our dogs are perceptive; we will never truly appreciate just how intelligent and sensitive they (as well as other species) really are.

I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to Maris and Yogi’s Mom on the senseless loss of her pups. Please allow the pain and horror of this unimaginable tragedy to be relieved as swiftly as possible and be replaced with sweet memories.
This tragedy is compounded by the imminent deaths of two other lives – the dogs in her care – all because of the arrogance of this woman. She knowingly made her decision contrary to the stated instructions of the owner of the Pit Bulls and against all common sense.
It is a small mercy the owner and pet sitter are covering the financial aspects. The best possible outcome of this heartbreaking experience would be for the owner of Maris and Yogi and the owner of the Pit Bulls to take legal action against this woman. She should never again be allowed to have any living creature in her care.
Run free at the bridge, Maris and Yogi

I echo the recommendations for EicosaDerm and Hair of the Dog. My pup also had dry skin and the EicosaDerm worked wonders. The Hair of the Dog aided with shedding and some thinning patches. Between these two products my pup's coat is silky soft and shiny now.

I am praying that whatever is happening with River at present is nothing that cannot be managed with lots of love and a little (more) rest. Would that whatever it is could be cured by ice cream, cookies, and the occasional mooshie.
The love and devotion you have for River, Breeze, and Canyon is unquestionable. I know you will do whatever is best for River.

Miss Bonnie Twist
You have answered your parent's most agonizing question, so now it is time to get back to the important business of healing.
You are a very strong young lady and have a lot of fight in you. You prove that over and again. This is just a little bump in the road for you, one you will navigate with your usual grace and determination.
Sending healing thoughts and gentle hugs to you and your family. Looking forward to positive updates.

It looks very much like a blood blister.

Rest easy now Ranch, the pain is gone and you are once again whole and healthy.
You followed in the long tradition of greyhound courage and endurance. You fought a hard battle; but did not allow your beautiful spirit and loving personality to waver despite the pain and fear you must certainly have felt. You were a lover and were, in turn, loved by so many. We grieve for the life that might have been. We cheer for the champion you were.
There have been many before you, Ranch, and there will be many more to join you across the Rainbow Bridge. The experienced Bridge Kids will teach you all the special places and you, in turn, will teach those that follow. Bless you, sweet boy. Run fast, run free.
Thank you to the extraordinary group that did so much for Ranch during his long illness.

Gracegirl
Does Grace's eye look anything like the dog's eye in the article in this link? Sometimes pigment from the iris can 'leak'.

I sincerely hope none of you are ever in the position Lauren and Grace were in and come here expecting support. Those of you who are ever so subtly shifting the blame on Lauren put yourselves in her shoes – would you appreciate the negativity and lack of support she has received if it were YOUR dog? I suspect not. None of us are perfect, but Lauren repeatedly requested the owners of the dog to bring her muzzle. Had they complied none of this would have occurred. Can you really say they are blameless? If so, I fear your logic and your lack of compassion.
Since it was my comments that have apparently infuriated so many of you and have caused this thread to head in an unnecessary and negative direction, I will do the gracious thing and remove myself from this forum. I no longer feel welcome or comfortable here.
Lauren, thank you for your message. I hope Grace heals without any lingering side affects and is back to her happy self as soon as possible.

Zachary, the humans here are at fault. Not the dog. That's the point that needs to be made. The sweetest greyhounds in the world can bite or nip another dog when racing about in play. Muzzles or separate turnouts prevent this sort of injury.
So how are Gracie and her mom doing this afternoon? Hope you both managed a nap today and get special treats
Cynthia,
If you read what I wrote I in no way blamed the dog. I was responding to another post and incorrectly quoted it. I basically said IF the dog's owners had complied with Lauren's thrice repeated request to bring the dog's muzzle none of this would have happened. The dog's owners are totally at fault for this horrific attack because they chose not listen. Paying Grace's vet bills is the very least they could do. They were irresponsible in the extreme and poor Grace suffered for their lack of concern.
I am relieved and delighted to hear Grace is on the mend and feeling emotionally more secure. I hope this incident is soon forgotten by her.
