  1. My girl has eating problems once in a while. I boiled chicken and cooked rice in the broth and mix it together and she really likes that when she won't eat anything else. Good luck, it is so frustrating, I know.
  2. I am so sorry. My sweet Sandy was diagnosed last year and I opted not to do it. She was 8. She was already in so much pain I could not imagine putting her through more. I also did not let it linger and she went to sleep peacefully with us at her side. I am still crying, but I have no regrets because my sweet girl deserved to die with dignity. Don't even blame yourself about the money aspect either, we could probably not have afforded the treatment, but I would have done it if I thought it was in her best interest, which I am convinced is not the case. I had one other grey, well still have her, and decided she was lonely, so got a foster and failed fostering, so now have 2.
  3. Aren't you going to see the Grand Tetons or Yellowstone since you will be so close? It would be a shame to miss all that. Good luck.
  4. I have just gone through this with my girl, BeBe. We were traveling in our motorhome, and the same thing happened She also had a fever. She did have a fever. the first vet (Myrtle Beach, Banfields, Petsmart) I think gave her too much predisone for too long. She came right out of her dizziness, but a week later we were in Jacksonville, FL and she vomited digested blood and it was in her stool. The second ver, also Banfields at Petsmart, put her on IV's for 2 days and I am weaning her off prednisone, and giving her meds twice a day. She is almost back to her normal self but lost lots of weight. It was scary for us since we had little choice about where to go, but beware of prednisone!! I am hoping she is on the mend now.
  5. I am sorry. I just lost my heart girl last month. It hurts, but you made her life so much better.
  6. I am crying as I read this. I lost my sweet girl the sme way two weeks ago. I know how hard it is. I only had mine for a year, but she enriched our lives.
