  1. Just a bit of trivia:

Received an Irish sixpence from my secret Santa this year. I thought the dog on the coin was a greyhound, but when I researched I found out it is an Irish Wolfhound! I love the coin and will be shopping for a SS chain so I can wear it as a pendant.

That is sweet. I have a pendant, and a bracelet made from the Irish Sixpence coin.

  2. I think it does. I feed a lot of raw green tripe and have a good track record for good teeth and few-sometimes very few if any-req'd dentals. Most my dogs prefer tripe and Momma won't even eat other "selections" as a rule. I feed ground and whole. You can get the whole tripe in strips they go crazy over. In fact I have fed so much of it that it now smells "good" to me when I open another delectable package. :jaw:flip

Wher can I get whole strips? I feed can.
  3. Susan, the last three sentences pretty much sum it up. But......I still need my bed every now and again :bounce2

Had trouble with Samlur staying off the bed when asked. I had a total knee surgery done in April. He jumped on the bed without permission and hit my knee. I did the scream of death and now he will not get on the bed without permission....It scared him and me both. Funny now. Was not funny then. Not a recomended training method.
  4. Well, she came to me on Science Diet ID, but the records had no clear reason why she was on it. So I switched her to a homemade diet to see if it would improve her glucose numbers (she's diabetic). It didn't and it was very time consuming, although she did fine on it. So I talked to my vet and she said it would be fine to switch to a regular commercial food. I tried Natural Balance which was a disaster. Her numbers skyrocketed with only replacing 1/3 of her food with kibble and she was throwing it up. So I went back to the ID. The ID is expensive and I just have never been a fan of Science Diet. I thought Harvey's would be like the homemade, but easier.

I think Nutrisca is good for diabetic dogs.

    Nutrisca Dog Food

    The Bottom Line

This may not just be a good dog food. But an important one, too. Nutrisca is a certified2 low glycemic product making it a serious candidate for feeding a diabetic dog.
