    He feels it, too.

     

    He feels your stress/tension/anxiety transmitting thru that leash every time you take him for a walk.

     

    What everyone else said - speak to your group and tell them everything. Be upfront, don't hide anything from them.

     

    As an adoption coordinator I'd much prefer to hear the "real reasons" for surrender as it make the hound so much easier to re-home.

     

    No one will think badly of you for doing what's right for the hound. Especially since you sound so frustrated with him and with yourself.

    Very Well said....... I have one that was a Breed snob and she still can be at times and it is very hard to get them trained, a lot of work. Don't feel bad just do what is best for you and the dog.Honesty is the best policy and makes it easier on everyone... Good Luck....... Please keep us updated....
