  1. Sometimes Amanda, the unwanted or imperfect ones are the best and most heart valuable treasure. You were so very wise to recognize this wonderful boy for the true treasure he has been to you. Pain is the price we pay for love but the true pain is in missing them. I know you miss your Memphis dearly. I so appreciate all the times you shared him with us so we could know him as you do. Hearts heal when they are ready and I hope yours heals well with the pleasure of wonderful memories of your handsome Memphis.

  2. There are certain hounds, special ones that pass through our lives, that simply leave an impression, a feeling, an imprint, of gentle and unconditional love. I never had the pleasure of meeting Emmy but grew to adore her through your stories and pictures Judy. Emmy was one of those special hounds that will stay with me as a wonderful memory in my heart just like she lives forever in yours. I know you miss her dearly.

  3. I'm sorry that this is happening to Darcy and I understand the worry and fear you must be feeling when you still don't yet know what tomorrow will bring. Please know Bev, that Darcy and your family have been an inspiration to me from the very first and will continue to inspire me always, no matter what may come. She is my canine hero. I will hold Darcy close in my heart and in my prayers as we all wait along side you and hold your hand.

  4. I believe the OP is confusing an EKG with an echocardiogram.

    I belive you maybe right!

I think the topic title is pretty specific for "Ekg" with medical issue not specified. Considering one (EKG) assesses the electrical function/pathways/polarization/repolarization etc and the other assesses via ultrasound the structure function/cardiac output assessment, its safer not to assume. Ultrasounds are probably more expensive than an EKC. Miss Rose had several and with the discount I got it was still rather pricey. An EKG should not be quite as expensive as an ECHO.

Thank you for the medical lesson-- I am well aware of the different diagnostics procedures. It was the fact that the OP was taken back how pricey the "EKG" was that lead me to believe that she might have been confused with her medical terminology. An average price of a lead 2 EKG should be around $35 where an echo should run between $200-$400. Big difference. No reason to get snarky.

    No snark intended....
