Guest karilynn
Ok, thanks for the advice. Sorry for my short reply last night - was on my phone. We tried the floors again last night. I was confident (or at least I think so) and this time I treated him like a dog and not a human. No non-sense whatsoever. It went alright, I suppose. It did help when his head was lifted and he wasn't looking at the floor. As far as obedience training, I just spoke with a trainer at the humane society and she said he doesn't sound fearful enough for their wallflower class, but the floor could be an issue. I like the idea of bringing a rug with me - I have plenty of those. The trainer thought that was a good idea, too. She said I might want to set up private sessions because if he's afraid the floor, he won't be open to learning. Kari - where did you do training?
