muddgirl Posted July 3, 2012 Share Posted July 3, 2012 Licking is a stress-reliever for dogs - it usually means they're anxious. Is he panting, too? You could work on distracting him and then treating him for calm behavior, or you could get a noise sound CD and gradually desensitize him. I always worry, with storm-adverse dogs, that it will get worse on its own.
