Guest SpicyMom
There was a great program today on NPR's Fresh Air - an interview with a "Veterinary Behaviorist" Nicholas Dodman, who, with some vets at Tufts Vet school, has written a new book "Good Old Dog" about aging pups. I haven't seen the book but the interview is full of some interesting info on diet, osteo, cancer etc. You "senior lovers" may already know all this stuff but it was mostly new for me, like Osteo is almost always linked to a previous injury in dogs (unlike in humans, where it's just plain old wear and tear). Here's the link for anyone with an older pup: http://www.npr.org/2010/11/22/131516152/helping-your-good-old-dog-navigate-aging
