Guest Spencers_Greyt
Gross I know! I started giving Spencer & Buzz canned food with their kibble and now one or both of them have phlegmy stools and are vomiting up phlegm. I'm thinking it's caused by the canned food as that's the only thing that has changed but I wanted to run it by the forum in case this is indicative of some other health problem. Guest Stripeyfan
Sounds like the food's causing some problems – the phlegmy stuff is excess mucus created when the mucosal lining of the stomach/intestines is irritated. We've seen PLENTY of this with Kelly and yeah it's Though the food could have been off/a bad batch too. Probably be a good idea to stop feeding it, fast for 12-24 hrs (with access to water) to give their systems a rest and give a bland diet (meat/rice) for a few days to help things settle. And watch for dehydration if they're vomiting a lot. If they seem unwell in any other way (depressed etc) or if it doesn't clear up in a day or two, get them to the vet. Fingers crossed they're ok soon!

Anyway, it surely sounds lilke it was the canned food. Yes, it would have been a bad batch! Hope they are better soon!
