Well, he slept very well last night, which is more normal for him. No whining at all. Now I am just aching to go home and check on him, and figure out how to keep it dry - it's raining here right now. We need to keep the wrap on as long as possible, and as dry as possible.... going to try saran wrap or a bag of some kind I guess :)

Those skinny bags that they deliver newspapers in are good for cast cover-ups.

Also, what about using Press n Seal Gladwrap?

I was greeted this afternoon by a smiling Dax wagging his newly shortened tail. Exactly what I hope to see! I'll be sure to update when we take the bandage off. Thanks again for all the advice and good vibes!

Psi is part of the "short tail club". He is a much happier pup and tho it was hard I glad I did it. Good luck and just make sure it is not bumped or licked for the first two weeks and it will be all smooth for you
