Guest Dragonmom
Bella's ear is healing slowly, she is on antibiotics twice a day. the wound is almost all scabbed over now. the part that isn't still looks yucky and still bubbles when i put peroxide on it. She is now scared of cotton balls and brown bottles Ace had to go back to the vets today as his "coin purse" was bleeding. Silly boy tore out most of his stitches. the vet put him on the same meds as Bella just to ward off any infection. We are waiting to find poo in our shoes after improvising a diaper for him out of a light weight blanket. the horrid stink eye he gives us is unmeasurable at this point

Batmom
Wouldn't put peroxide on the ear. It burns good tissue and can slow healing. 50-50 peroxide and water is OK to clean up once or twice in the beginning. After that, better to use diluted Nolvasan or Betadine. Guest Energy11
My former vet/employer, said to never use peroxide, as it stops the clotting process, and might start your bleeding up again. Just warm water is fine to clean the wounds, and like one of the other OPs, said, it does burn. Soooo glad to hear everyone is healing well!
