BauersMom
My foster was just diagnosed and I've been playing phone tag with the vet. Anyone deal with this before? ahicks51
Coccidia are protozoans- tiny parasites, in this case related to (but NOT) giardia. I take it your hound has had diarrhea, the reason your vet ran a fecal culture, yes? Your pup will require oral meds for some time, but these problems usually resolve without complications. They are common in puppies- even in very well-run kennels- as the organisms are communicable and an adult immune system frequently shrugs them off. VinnieAndRexsMom
big doses of flagyl maybe? We were testing for coccidia and giardia about a year ago, and that's what they were taking while we waited. Good luck Quote Tonya, mom to May, and my angels Vinnie, Rex, Red, Chase, and Jake.
