Peppersdad Posted January 22, 2008 Share Posted January 22, 2008 Pepper`s toe has flared up again,i took him to the vets,yesterday,the vet said we have a choice of ,antibiotics,or he would open the pad up and have a look to see if he could find anything. i chose the antibiotics, knowing how pep is with stitches .the antibiotics are different from last time,the vet says hot poltices,and try and give the pad a little squeeze to see if anything pops ,easier said than done but alas i think it might need to be opened up. How long did the vet say to give it before going the surgery route? the vet gave me 10 day course of antibiotics, which we will run with, unless it deteriorates.it does`nt seem to bother pep,but i would not like to see it get any worse. however the vet says its one of those niggly things,wich may require surgery.
