In updating this profile, Jerry and I have have moved back to Southern California where we lived before spending 23 years in Humboldt County- on the Northcoast! We moved with our two 12 year old greyhounds, Lexi and Hottie, and lost both in 2016. Having moved to two separate homes a couple of miles apart, we have been houndless for the last year - until NOW! Jerry is adopting 11 year old Buddy from GALT- we'll go to Texas to pick him up next week (February) and we'll co-parent this wonderful boy!
In 2000, I started raising funds for adoption groups with my company, Northcoast Greyhound Support, and at the end of 2016, NCG surpassed $500,000 in contributions - a landmark for this little company!
I thought that might be a good goal for retirement, but evidently not, because I'm still here, still presenting new and unusual jewels to greyhound lovers who like looking glamorous and supporting greyhound adoption at the same time.
100% of what NCG earns is contributed- our motto: "If you don't spend it with us, we can't give it away!
