  1. I've had to make this decision so many times and it never gets any easier. For me, it boils down to quality of life. When my pups get to the point where there is no joy left, when they can't eat, play with their toys, enjoy a walk or enjoy their favorite treats then I make the decision. It's such a personal decision and I'm so sorry you are facing having to make it. My prayers for all of you.

  2. I know it's hard to watch. My boy would literally walk into walls. It also made him extremely hungry so I had to add a small, low calorie snack in the middle of the day because he would cry for food. All of these symptoms went away as his body adjusted to the meds and he returned to being my happy boy. It's hard but it will get better.

  3. The side effects will last until the dogs body adjusts to the meds, usually 2-4 weeks. That being said, my boy showed signs of ataxia, uncordinated, acting like he was drunk and very vocal. You might check with the vet. They can do blood work in a few days to make sure your pup is on the right dose.

  4. It could be they both are ill with a virus or something. I just had the same thing here with 3 of mine. Be careful with the food changes. If they are having tummy issues, the food changes can make them worse. Check with the vet now that both are having issues. He can give them something for their tummys. You may find they go back to normal in about a week. Make sure they are drinking because they can dehydrate quickly.
