    Hail to the seed moon,

    round in fullness and fertility.

    Lend your power here to my actions as I leave my pet to you!

     

     

    O winds that carry wild calls

    From eastern watchtowers' echoing halls

    Come stand at circle here and bless

    and welcome now my friend and pet

    As Checkie Comes to you in Summerland

     

    O fires that stir the seasons changes

    From southern watchtowers flickering ranges

    Come stand at circle here and bless

    O rivers that mix the earth and sky

    From western watchtowers low and high

    Herne, father of the wild things

    Come look upon your child

    That I am leaving to your care

    I invoke you, and ask your blessing

    that my pet may be comfortable in it’s new home

    That he may live in a loving and safe environment.

    Powers of the Wind,

    I present Checkers to you!

    Move my friend kindly, and keep him in your care!

     

    Powers of Fire, I present Checkers to you!

    Ease my friend through the transformations of life,

    and keep him in your care!

    I am so so sorry for the pain that you endured but now it's over. I held you in my arms as you took your last braeth. I am typing thru my tears of pain to write this. You are already sorely missed. Run free & swift & we will meet agin. I love you .

    I thought I would never have to come tho this forum. This morning Trippy the little tripod kitty crossed over the bridge.

    He was born with only 3 legs, blind in one eye, lung & heart problems 2 years ago. He was full of spunk tho. I'm glad to have had him in our lives for the little time he was here.

    Please have all the bridge babies meet him & welcome him. Maybe now he will have 4 legs :angelwings

    Hallie!  Jed and Chance are related.  Jed's Great Grandfather and Chance's Great Grandmother were litter mates.  I guess that makes them cousins!

     

    Jed's Sire's Sire's Sire was Hondo Monopoly out of Hondo Nutmeg by Rooster Cogburn

     

    Chance's Dam's Dam's Dam was Hondo Checkers out of Hondo Nutmeg by Rooster Cogburn
