Lee, Lu-Ann, Gail, Jim, Lisa, Dave and I will be there this year. We need to meet up because we really miss Camp Cocktail. I agree with Tricia, keep calling the QI; they always have cancellations and sometimes people inform others on GT. Perhaps you may see some cancellation posts on this thread.
I'll see you there! lol I love going to another country to see my neighbors. It's become a tradition. lol

One of our grey's had that Robin (I can't remember which one) It was like a hot spot. We sprayed with Colloidal Silver every day and in a few weeks the hair was back. Do you want some?
Sweet Iker

Welcome to the forum. Please don't take things too personal. You must remember many people on this board have been around greyhounds for a long time and speak through experience. And as this is a public forum and someone asks for advice, they are going to be truthful and to the point.
Our Cordal is prey drive here. I say here because when we are at Dewey she is fine with all dogs. I think it's just that she doesn't know where to look - there are so many dogs!
When we walk her in the park where there are always lots of dogs, squirrels and other critters I wear the Wiggles, Wags & Whiskers harness AND her martingale collar. I use a two-ended leash and hook on end to the collar and one end to the harness. If she gets over excited I can control her with both. It makes the walk much easier and she never quite gets as wound us as when walking her with just the collar or the harness.
Just a thought but it works for us

Oh Robin! My heart sank when I saw this. I am in shock. We never got together like we kept trying to. You know everyone in this house loved Treasure as if she were our own. We missed having her with us when Iker came to live with you. I am so sorry. Your grief is our grief.
Hugs and if you need anything please ask. We are always here for you. I am so sad.

I'm so sorry to hear this . I know Haka and Aleeya from Tina's house and came withher 2 times to pick them up. She was a wonderful girl. She was loved by Tina and Eric as their own and they will surely miss her.
Hugs to you and Mike.

Lucy I'm so sorry. I too remember when you got Jabari. I didn't get to meet him but I remember your excitement from your photos and posts. What a lovely tribute to him. Full of love.
I remember meeting you and Riley at a house party in Dewey Beach years ago and he too was an amazing boy. He had the first 'radar' ears I ever saw. My Dante had them.
Jabari is running free with Riley now, best buddies together again.
Always in your heart and memories.
Hugs to you

Our beautiful boy is gone.
His brain tumor was making it very difficult for him to stand and walk.
Although he was only with us for 5 months he captured our hearts immediately. He instantly became a part of our family. We all loved him so much.
I spent as much time as possible sitting in the Dining Room with him as he couldn't come down the stairs any more. He could always see whoever was in the living room or kitchen so he was never really alone but I felt so bad for him.
He loved to go and do his little 'romp' in the back yard, albeit only a few short seconds but the last 2 days he couldn't even do that and last night and today we couldn't let him off leash and we were by his side every time he went out because his balance was leaving him. It looked so uncomfortable for him.
God how I hated to see this again. It was so much like Dante in his last days only 6 months ago.
He spent his day today eating what ever he wanted and sleeping all afternoon.
He went to the bridge with Mommy, Daddy and Madison all showering him with love.
We miss you Target and you will always be with us in our hearts and memories. -
We still haven't heard from the Oncologist. I will be calling on Monday.
I have also contacted Dr. Couto and he said he would look at Targets results and MRI and give his opinion.
Unfortunately I don't feel anything will change. Surgery is not an option. The information the radiologist gave me is that radiation treatment for this kind of tumor is 30 days (5 days/week) at $4,000. Or travel to US for 3 day treatment at $8,000.
Life expectancy without radiation approximately 2 months, with radiation 1-1/2 years.
Has anyones greyhound here had a brain tumor and experience with or without radiation? I'd like to hear if you have.
If anyone knows the numbers for the big lottery I could sure use them now.
Thanks

This is wonderful news to start a Sunday morning with. I hope Desi continues to improve.

I'm sending prayers, white light and tons of hugs to you and Desi.

MRI showed 2 items. A spinal tap was done and partial results show 2 tumors - 1 at the base of the brain, 1 on the spine in the neck area..
Tomorrow morning they will know what kind of tumors they are and have more information for me and an Oncologist will discuss options with me.
If you can spare some more prayers for my big boy I would appreciate it so much and so will Target.
Thank you

Target is going to OVC tomorrow for an MRI and I'd like to ask for some good thoughts and prayers to be sent his way.
What started out as a slight limp a few weeks ago has become a problem with head tilt and balance. After 2 sets of x-rays showing nothing he is having and MRI.
After his last set of X-Rays at OVC he did not do well with the anaesthetic at all. It took him 2 days to get over it. My top priority tomorrow is to do my best to make sure that doesn't happen again.
Poor boy is gated in our dining room. It is open so he can see the kitchen and living room but because we have stairs to the living room we don't want him to hurt himself. When he comes down the stairs he leans on the wall and is very unsteady.
So if you can spare some prayers for our boy I would appreciate it very much.
Target has only been in our family 3 -4 months but he has captured our hearts. We love him so much.

Welcome from Cambridge, Ontario!!

Meet Jester and Target! We brought them into our home on Saturday, November 3.
Jester and Target were together in a home for 5 years and due to no fault of their own they were returned to the kennel.
They are both approximately 70 lbs. and although they have only been here a few days it's like they have always been here. They are both wonderful dogs and very bonded with each other - although we have numerous dog beds they love to sleep on the same bed much of the time.
Both boys have totally different personalities. Jester is Mr. laid back and such a leaner! Target is the goofy yet worrisome boy. He looks to his brother Jester at times for guidance.
Not the best photos but I'll post more when I get my camera working
Jester
Target
We love these two already. They are sweethearts.

Stewart I posted on Robing FB page yesterday. I am so sorry that CJ has left. Earl and Nimby were waiting with Bazooka I'm sure to greet him at the bridge.
CJ was such a sweet boy. I wish we could have made more Dewey trips with us. GodSpeed CJ
Hugs to you and Robin and Chevy too.

Our big boy Dante, who's racing name was Dante's Illusion, has gone to the bridge.
Dante was my Big Guy, Big Goofy boy, Dufus and my Funny Car. His rear legs just didn't want to work anymore and his cancer was consuming him.
I held his head as he crossed and told him how much I love him and will miss him. His daddy, Madison and little Cordal were all there touching and petting him, giving him all the love we could
Dante went very quickly and without pain.
Dante came home with us September 23, 2007 very shortly after our first grey Earl went to the bridge. Jen (Jiffer) sent me these photos and he captured my heart.
Dante LOVED car rides - I believe that was his very favorite thing in the whole world. He didn't care where you were going. He made the trip to Dewey Beach, Deleware for the last 4 years.

One of my favorite photos.
Dante we love you and you will be forever in our hearts and home.

Robin if you would like to bring Iker over I could see if I could make some 'adjustments' to his harness that may help you with this. And of course you don't dare show up without Treasure!!!! lol

Josie I also make tag collars.
ID Collars embroidered with pets name and your phone number so no tags need to be kept on and I also make velvet tag collars. No d-rings on either if preferred. Breakaway tag collars also available.
