  1. I don't have any experiences to share, but I just started reading a book called "Animals and the Afterlife". It's by Kim Sheridan. I have tended to be a skeptic when it comes to animal communicators, but I'm really enjoying this book. Maybe it would help you, it does talk about signs a lot.
  2. I had a cat that was on it. He used to poop on the floor, usually when any change occurred in our house. I was told it was somewhat of a"prozac" for kitties. We had great luck with it. What is the reason that your dog needs to be put on it? I think there are very few side effects. Charlie drank more when he was on it, but that was all we noticed.
  3. I'm so sorry. Don't feel guilty, you did the best thing for him, taking him to the vet where they could keep him comfortable. Give Kristen hugs, I'm sure they do know when their friends pass on. It will take some time both for you and her.
  4. Did they check out his heart for sure? The coughing and heavy breathing worries me, as that is what my cat did when he got congestive heart failure. Don't want to worry you, just want to make sure the vet checked his heart really well. Otherwise, maybe since he's older the cold/kennel cough is just hitting him harder than it would a younger dog?
  5. Regarding the lymes, most allergic reactions tend to be from the Lymes vaccinations. Not really sure why, but after working at a vet clinic, once we didn't vaccinate for Lymes for most dogs that had a previous reaction, no more allergic reactions.
  6. Congrats! He's adorable and seems to be settling in already! Quick question: Is that a water bowl hanging in the corner of his crate? If so, where did you get it? If not, nevermind
