  1. Hi all its been a long year since I said goodbye to my big handsome boy ,still missing him terribly,i know we made the right choice in letting you go you were in pain and it was your time to leave us and go to the Bridge not a day goes by when I walk the hill and I wish you were by my side, miss you so much. don`t cause to much mayhem at the bridge x

  2. Hi all ,I am now slowly coming to terms with life without pepper, and I would like to say a big thank you to all you greytalkers for your kind words and support over the years, and it all started with pepper who we only took in for two weeks, while his then owner looked for a good home for him, but I think once he came into our lives that was it we were his forever home , so we set about training him .....and once he had us trained things were much easier :unsure, and that's how we met mel ,scullysmum, and her greys over the years, scully, sadi, and johnny, and I would like to thank mel for her support and sound advice over the years, and for introducing me to greytalk.it certainly was a learning curve owning a saluki x grey, and I would do it all over again :youcrazy .Buster our border terrier misses pepper as much as we do, but he is now top dog around the house :lol so Thank you all , and what a greyt and informative web site greytalk is. Many Thanks ....Peppersdad.

  3. I`m sure its normal, mel pepper would pee for England when he was younger, wouldn`t even lift his leg just stand there peeing, when we was going to training classes....Don`t laugh. I was late home from work which in turn made us late for training over Bexhill, and pepper didn`t pee before we went in, but bejesus he did when we was going through the routine was like a small pond -_- ! that said pepper used to pee like a racehorse in his younger days ,probably twice on a 2/3 hour walk and as he got older it became more frequent,i think when they are younger the storage capacity is more adequate ? oh and pep used to lick his bits and get very excited biting his back leg and generally thrashing around on the settee :haha not sure if that was normal though :offwall.hope this helps

  4. Thank you Mel for a wonderful and fitting tribute to our Handsome boy, it brought back some wonderful memories and put a smile on our faces, didn`t realise you have known pep for 10 years. thank you so much. wonderful pics and good to remember scully and some of the other hounds who have graced us with their presence over the years. :)

  7. Thanks mel pepper is taking it easy at the moment hopefully the prednicare will make him feel better, I think the heat and humidity had an effect he seemed to go downhill from Saturday. his appetite is as still as good as ever, we take one day at a time and see how thing go.we went to see the fly past and left the boys at home so the noise could have had an effect.

  8. Hi all thank you for your kind prayers and thoughts . we took pepper to the vets this evening and after a long chat we decided the best way forward for pepper is for him to be on prednicare for the time. being we decide against chemo as it would mean leaving pep at the vets for half hour sessions a few times a week and that would raise his stress levels so we take one day at a time and give him lots of love and treats, on the plus side he does seem a little brighter today.

  9. Hi all just a quick update on pepper, he has been doing quite well of late , but this weekend he seems to have gone downhill, still got good appetite but very lethargic and generally off the pace ,could be the heat and humidity, however we will see the vets tomorrow to see what they say, your kind thoughts and prayers will be much appreciated.

  10. Hi all its been a while since I have been on gt. been a busy time of late. but could you kind folk spare a few kind thoughts for pepper.he is not himself we have been to vets and on examination his neck glands are very swollen, it could be through a bad tooth causing infection ,or possibly lymphoma, he is on antibiotics and we have to monitor him for the next week to see how things are, he seems normal, but there is something not right
