Just an FYI I did pick up 20 500 mgs tabs or Amicar for $32.00 from the IVG Compounding Pharmacy in Woburn MA. They made it for me in a matter of hours and will ship.

So my vet called in a prescription for Amicar to IVG compounding pharmacy and I will pick it up later today. 20 pills for $31.00 which seems weird since CVS told me it would be $20.00 PER pill. I will believe it when I pick it up. BTW they will also ship.

You are not being silly. I lost Coyote during a dental two years ago. Fine one minute and then he was gone 25 minutes later. No real explanation but I suspect he was under too long and maybe the additional dose of anesthesia was too much. No one to fault except myself for letting his teeth get to the point that he had to have the dental in the first place. I have since had Akons' teeth done but felt like I needed a Valium to tolerate my anxiety.

I would worm even if your dog has already been dewormed and even if the stool sample is/was negative. The cycle of worms is hard to eradicate. While doing that I might just offer a bland diet such as hamburg or chicken until everything quiets down and reintroduce the food so you don't complicate the picture by changing food.

Had this with Abe and the vet thought it was due to how infested he was. I was also boiling chicken which he most likely was sensitive too so I changed to Hamburg. He told me to skip a day and then resume. Also Metronidazole was added with Panancur and did the trick. I have had to worm him a couple of times since and had no problems.
