  1. I have never had a dog watch TV before but I’m sure Benji does! When we first got him he used to jump up at the TV with excitement whenever dogs come on screen, now he just watches intently with his ears pricked.

Last night we were watching the animal intelligence episode of explained on Netflix, and Benji was enthralled, especially with the dogs looking at themselves in a mirror. When the octopus came on screen, he whimpered and hid his head under the cushion! No ocean documentaries for us haha.

  2. Thank you for the warm welcome everyone! Each day he just comes out of his shell even more and he’s such a cute, cheeky boy! First day at the beach and playing with another dog (not just polite sniffs) yesterday and if possible he slept even more than usual today haha!

Benji's picture reminds me of someone saying that when the adoption program brought their hound to their house for a first visit, it was love at first sight.  She and her husband fell in love with the hound; the hound fell in love with their leather couch.

Milo and Gelsey send tail wags and polite butt sniffs to Benji.

Benji says hi back! Haha he has stole OH favourite spot but he’s too cute to move 😍 He does allow me to lay next to him as long as I stroke his head though 😂

Hi, and welcome! Benji is gorgeous and most importantly has found the couch already! :clap "Loves strokes and snoozing"—yep, you have a greyhound! We're here to help when and if you decide to introduce the pups, or as other questions come up. Congrats on your new family member!

Thank you! OH said he’s never been more in love with a dog which says a lot as he LOVES his parents dogs 😂 I’ve never had to train properly as my parents dog was small enough that you didn’t really notice when she jumped up so good job Benj is a quick learner!

  5. We adopted our retired non-chaser Benji at the weekend. We originally went in for a small to medium dog but fell in love.

He’s settling well, loves strokes and snoozing! It’s been a bit of a learning curve for me as my other dog (parents) is a Bichon Frise. I’m a bit nervous/unsure about introducing them!

This forum has been really helpful so thought I would say hello 😊

Here is a picture of the snoozy boy ❤️ https://www.dropbox.com/s/vh2m6kxf2m6f3ok/1D3FC302-14EF-417C-9DEC-2359AAF709AE.jpeg?dl=0
