  1. I can't see this method working on most dogs, but that's great if it's working for some people! Happy tail is a pain to deal with.

We used a large syringe case for Carlos after his tail docking surgery. His happy tail was so bad that they needed to dock half of the tail, and we needed a sturdy bandage if there was any hope of it healing properly. He whacked his bandaged tail on almost everything, but the syringe case protected the wound while allowing the end of the tail to air out and heal.

  2. We braced ourselves for the worst when Carlos came into our lives, especially since he was on antibiotics from tail surgery, and had a very upset stomach. Then I thought that something was wrong with him, because he WASN'T farting (and when he did, it just smelled like tortilla chips). Now he is used to his home and food, and still, no farts. We are so lucky.

  3. Carlos had good luck with Blue Buffalo Salmon recipe when he was in foster care. We switched him over to Merrick Duck and Sweet potato recipe mainly because it's made in TX (where we live), and the crude protein and other nutritional content was similar to Blue Buffalo. It is also around the same price. I have also heard great things about the Kirkland brand for greyhounds. I guess just try to find something that gives your pooch firm stools and doesn't cause an upset tummy. When we found that a food wasn't working for us, we SLOWLY switched him over to another food, and gave him a bit of Pepcid AC before meals to help his tummy.

  4. We adopted him exactly a month ago, and he is fitting in so well. He loves his crate, and he respects our cat. He really enjoys attention from children and babies and he loves small yappy dogs.

    Good sit, Carlos!
