  1. Excellent Update! Anna's blood-work yesterday came back NORMAL! The vet said this is VERY good news! He had been guarded in his comments earlier, so this is very positive. She has to go again next Monday. Fingers crossed. Thank you guys for checking in. It really makes it easier.

  2. I'm sorry I don't have any advice to give, but I just hope that she will be okay. :(

    Hoping Anna will be OK.

Thank you so much guys. Kind words go such a long way when you are worried :) As of this morning she is still her fabulous self, so we are hopeful that she will squeak through and be fine.

  3. My girl Anna got into a prescription bottle of DES; my husband had the empty bottle filled and I didn't know so I thought she had chewed the empty until the next morning when I saw the receipt for the refill on the counter. She went to the vet for blood-work and we are watching her very carefully, but I am scared to death that she will develop anemia. We are so careful to put things away, I can't believe this happened. We are all feeling guilty and terrible. If anyone has had any experience with this, I'd like to know how you got through it. She seems fine now, but it has only been 48 hours since she ate the tabs. We are checking her eyes and gums every few hours (it's driving her nuts).

  4. We have been feeding Honest Kitchen for about 3-4 weeks and throwing in some chicken backs or frozen patties (these are super expensive but I had to work up to throwing the dogs a piece of raw meat :blush We love it and it isn't costing more than the Science Diet Sensitive stomach we had to feed the Grey and the TOTW we fed the Springer. We are really hoping for a full remission of allergy symptoms in our Springer. We probably won't get a cure, but it seems to have helped some, although it is difficult to tell what causes or helps it sometimes. Our Grey has a super sensitive stomach and on this new food, no gas, poo you can pick up and no stomach rumbling :lol Good luck, I'd be interested to see how it goes for you.

P.S. I found really competitive pricing online. I really like to keep my business local but the difference in price was huge. If the prices change or come close to my locally owned store, I'd pay a little more to shop there. I used doggiefood.com

  5. I have a sensitive stomach grey and an allergy plagued puppy-mill Springer. We have tried nearly every high end food out there to help the Springer with chronic ear infections, skin problems and hot spots. We started feeding them Honest kitchen dehydrated food about a month ago along with some raw meat here and there and the Grey has no stomach rumbling and no runny poo. It's expensive, but not more than the Science Diet Sensitive Stomach we had to buy in addition to the TOTW for the Springer. Another plus is no gas :colgate
