Guest Angie626 Posted March 26, 2004 Share Posted March 26, 2004 I just heard from my mom that my aunt had to put her beloved cocker Lucy down yesterday. Lucy came to the family unplanned. My aunts boyfriend at the time thought she needed a dog, so one day he went to the shelter, picked out Lucy and brought her over. She was older, and had been in and out of homes and shelters for quite some time. My aunt didn't really want a dog - but couldn't turn Lucy away. Fast forward 4 years....Lucy was the most spoiled, pampered dog. Much loved by her family and a great companion to my aunt who was alone a lot when my cousin, in her teens, wasn't home much.
