Guest ProudGreyMom
This will be a really hard year for me. I lost the love of my life, my beagle Benny in July and as Christmas is getting closer, I keep thinking of him more. How cute he looked in his santa hat, how much he loved to sit in the pile of wrapping paper, and how he would spin his tail when he got his stocking. I hope he has a wonderful Christmas at the bridge. I miss him so much my heart hurts.
Guest spazkaz
I'm so sorry for your loss of sweet Benny. He will be looking down from the bridge and watching you, tail spinning, and hoping you have a great Christmas.

Tracey
As trying as our Beagle Nigel is at times I can't imagine not having him around. He's such a cutie and such a character. After so much time with Benny I'm sure that it seems like you just lost him yesterday. Hug the pups that are still with you and honor Benny's memory by trying to have a good holiday; I'm sure he would want you to. Guest Ferrevergrey
(((hugs))) I'm sorry Cheryl, I know how hard it is! Last year was hard, because every turn I took I though Sandy should be there. It was hard. This year I'm still missing Sandy, but it's just a little easier-hopefully every year will get a little easier until I think back and remember with joy and laughter instead of pain. Guest argolola
What a gorgeous boy he was! I'm so sorry for your loss and I know it must be especially hard at this time of year. Don't you think he's playing with Zombie at the Bridge and they are asking their moms not to cry, but to look back fondly...and smile, until we meet again. Guest seniorhoundlover
Thinking of you. I'll bet my Miranda is showing your Benny "the ropes" this holiday at the bridge. Maybe they've started a little romance while they wait for us! And perhaps they can both help Highland to find his way...
Batmom
Don't you think he's playing with Zombie at the Bridge and they are asking their moms not to cry, but to look back fondly...and smile, until we meet again. I'll bet they are. They'll be watching to make sure you celebrate the way they taught you -- with plenty of paper crinkling and smiles and joy in your heart. Biggest hugs to you. MorganAndGreys
My heart hurts for you too. The holidays are always a sad time when one is missing. My heart dog Romeo is gone 6 years and I think of him every day. His picture is right by the tree. Benny is looking down watching you laugh and smile and celebrate. Guest auntiesara
I know how sad the holidays are without darling Benny. Our all had special places to stand in their Grandparents' dining room to wait for scraps of Christmas dinner. We buried FaeRae's urn in our garden in VT on 12/1,so that she can be with her brothers and sisters. Just keep in mind your GT friends care about you and wish we could help. Our holistic vet has told each one that she will see them again when she puts them to sleep. I found the thought comforting and hope you will as well.
